Sad News—Terrorist Attack in Jammu & Kashmir

Dear Friends,

A deeply saddening news has just been received. A terrorist attack has taken place in the Pahalgam region of Jammu & Kashmir, claiming the lives of 26 tourists and local residents. Several others have been injured and are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals.

The entire Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj family is deeply anguished by this cowardly act of terrorism. We offer our heartfelt prayers for the eternal peace of the departed souls and wish a speedy recovery for all those injured. In this hour of grave crisis, we extend our deepest condolences to the people of Jammu & Kashmir, the government, and the bereaved and affected families.

Establishing peace in Jammu & Kashmir has always been the highest priority of our revered founder, Pujya Didi Nirmala Deshpande Ji. As her followers, we are committed to upholding and continuing her mission under all circumstances. In line with this commitment, and to ensure immediate relief and restoration of peace in the region, we are forming a National Peace Committee under the guidance and support of:

Shri Mangat Ram Singhal, Chief National Patron and Former Cabinet Minister, Delhi Government.
Shri Vijay Singh Lochav, Co-Patron and Former State Minister, Delhi Government.
Shri Baldev Raj Kamrah, Co-Patron and Chairman, KIIT Group.
Prof. Hashim Qureshi, Senior Member, National Council.

The Peace Committee will comprise the following members:

1. Shri Bibhuti Kumar Mishra
2. Shri Mohan Joshi
3. Shri Ramesh Jain
4. Prof. Pooja Sharma
5. Shri Rajendra Deshpande
6. Shri Vishwanath Jha
7. Smt. Nimisha Singh (Committee Coordinator)

This seven-member committee will, under the leadership of the current Jammu & Kashmir State President, Shri Sanaullah Tamir, initiate local assistance efforts for the victims. To facilitate these efforts, a Youth Peace Volunteer Team will be formed, jointly coordinated by ABRS youth volunteers Ehtisham Khan and Sabia Mahajani.

We expect both coordinators to constitute a 15-member ABRS Youth Peace Volunteer Team within 24 hours and inform the National Committee accordingly. Additionally, daily updates on the ground situation must be shared with the committee.

If there is any requirement for medicines or relief materials from the national level, please communicate immediately.

We also appeal to all former associates of Pujya Didi Nirmala Deshpande Ji and senior members of the Jammu & Kashmir ABRS family to actively guide and extend full support to the Youth Peace Volunteer Team in their mission to restore peace in the region.

Yours sincerely,
Bibhuti Kumar Mishra
National President
