District Election Officer, Karbi Anglong, Shri Aranyak Saikia, IAS, chaired a review meeting with contesting candidates/election agents of all three (ST) LACs—108 Bokajan, 109 Howraghat, and 110 Diphu—to discuss arrangements for Counting Day on 4th May 2026.

The meeting, attended by Returning Officers and other officials, focused on overall preparedness and key protocols for the counting process. The DEO briefed participants on the arrangements in place and emphasized the importance of smooth coordination.

First Level Randomisation of Counting Personnel was successfully conducted today for all three Legislative Assembly Constituencies—108 Bokajan (ST), 109 Howraghat (ST), and 110 Diphu (ST) under Karbi Anglong Election District.

The Karbi Anglong District Administration, in close coordination with the Police Administration, successfully conducted polling across all three (ST) LACs—108 Bokajan, 109 Howraghat, and 110 Diphu—in a smooth, free, fair, and transparent manner.

Polling at all 690 stations in the district concluded peacefully, with every polling personnel completing their duties and safely departing. Final sealing of Strong Rooms was carried out strictly in presence of General Observer Shri S. Sivarasu, IAS and as per ECI protocols.

This marks the successful completion of one of the largest democratic exercises, reflecting strong teamwork, dedication, and commitment to upholding the spirit of democracy.
