District Election Officer, Karbi Anglong, Shri Aranyak Saikia, IAS, reviewed the training session for Counting Supervisors and Counting Assistants of all the three (ST) LACs namely 108-Bokajan, 109-Howraghat and 110-Diphu at Farmers Growth Centre, Diphu. Comprehensive training was imparted to equip counting personnel with necessary procedures and protocols, ensuring accuracy and transparency. The initiative aims to facilitate a smooth, efficient, and error-free counting process, reflecting the Administration’s commitment to free, fair, and credible elections.

District Election Officer, Karbi Anglong, Shri Aranyak Saikia, IAS, chaired a review meeting with contesting candidates/election agents of all three (ST) LACs—108 Bokajan, 109 Howraghat, and 110 Diphu—to discuss arrangements for Counting Day on 4th May 2026.

The meeting, attended by Returning Officers and other officials, focused on overall preparedness and key protocols for the counting process. The DEO briefed participants on the arrangements in place and emphasized the importance of smooth coordination.
The DEO, Karbi Anglong, urged all stakeholders to extend full cooperation to ensure a transparent, orderly, and efficient counting process complying strict ECI guidelines.

First Level Randomisation of Counting Personnel was successfully conducted today for all three Legislative Assembly Constituencies—108 Bokajan (ST), 109 Howraghat (ST), and 110 Diphu (ST) under Karbi Anglong Election District.

The process was chaired by District Election Officer Shri Aranyak Saikia, IAS, in the presence of the Returning Officers of all three LACs and concerned officials.

This crucial step as per ECI guidelines, ensures transparency, fairness, and integrity in the counting process, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to free and fair elections.

Completion of polling with a success note in Karbi Anglong Election District.

The Karbi Anglong District Administration, in close coordination with the Police Administration, successfully conducted polling across all three (ST) LACs—108 Bokajan, 109 Howraghat, and 110 Diphu—in a smooth, free, fair, and transparent manner.

Polling at all 690 stations in the district concluded peacefully, with every polling personnel completing their duties and safely departing. Final sealing of Strong Rooms was carried out strictly in presence of General Observer Shri S. Sivarasu, IAS and as per ECI protocols.

This marks the successful completion of one of the largest democratic exercises, reflecting strong teamwork, dedication, and commitment to upholding the spirit of democracy.

Polling for the Assembly Elections concluded peacefully across all three (ST) LACs—108 Bokajan, 109 Howraghat, and 110 Diphu under Karbi Anglong Election District. Polling personnel are steadily returning from their respective stations; many have already arrived and reported, while others are on their way and expected soon.
