The Karbi Anglong District Mahila Congress will never bow down to the misuse of India’s constitutional institutions for political gains!

We strongly condemn the alleged misuse of the Election Commission of India under CEC Gyanesh Kumar, which raises serious concerns about the impartiality and integrity of our democratic institutions. The Constitution of India is not the property of the BJP, and no constitutional institution should be reduced to a tool for serving the interests of those in power.

Yesterday, the Karbi Anglong District Mahila Congress marched from the KADCC Office to the District Commissioner’s Office, raising our voices in defence of democracy, constitutional values, and the rights of every Indian citizen.

Our fight is for democracy, our strength lies in unity, and our resolve is unshakable. We will never tolerate any attempt to undermine the independence of constitutional institutions or silence the voice of the people. The women of Karbi Anglong will continue to stand firm against injustice and fight fearlessly to protect the Constitution and safeguard the democratic spirit of our nation!

Democracy is our right. The Constitution is our strength. We will never surrender!

The Congress Party will never remain silent when the credibility and independence of a constitutional institution entrusted with protecting our democracy are at stake.

As the Congress raises its voice demanding accountability and the removal of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, the detention of our beloved APCC President and Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Shri Gaurav Gogoi, is deeply condemnable.

Instead of answering serious questions and ensuring transparency, the administration has chosen to suppress the voice of those demanding accountability. Such actions only deepen public concern over the protection being extended to those facing serious allegations.

We strongly condemn this blatant attempt to silence democratic dissent. Democracy cannot be protected by detaining those who defend it. The voice of the people cannot be suppressed by barricades, detention or intimidation.

The Congress Party will continue to stand firmly for free and fair elections, constitutional institutions, democratic rights and the sanctity of every citizen’s vote.
