*District Task Force (DTF) Kishtwar Intensifies Anti-Child Labour Operations in Kishtwar under NCPCR Campaign 4.0*

In view of the Pan-India Rescue and Rehabilitation Campaign 4.0 launched by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the District Task Force (DTF), under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), who is also the Chairman of the DTF, conducted an intensive anti-child labour drive across various commercial establishments and construction sites in Kishtwar district.
The drive was conducted by the Labour Department, Kishtwar, under the supervision of Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kishtwar, Smt. Mamta Sudershan (JKAS), Member Secretary, DTF, in collaboration *with* Child Welfare Committee Kishtwar, Special Juvenile Police Officer, Kishtwar; Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Kishtwar; and other stakeholder departments of the District Task Force.
During the drive, several commercial establishments, including hotels, restaurants, workshops, roadside eateries, shops, construction sites, dhabas, garages, and other business units, were inspected to identify instances of child labour and ensure compliance with the provisions of the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, and other relevant child protection laws.
The inspection team sensitized employers, shopkeepers, and business owners about the legal consequences of engaging children in labour and emphasized the importance of ensuring that every child has access to education, care, and a safe environment.
They were advised to strictly adhere to child labour laws and refrain from employing children in any occupation prohibited under the Act.
The officials reiterated that child labour is a serious violation of children's rights and appealed to the public to actively support the administration in eliminating the practice.
Citizens were urged to immediately report any cases of child labour or child exploitation to the Labour Department, District Child Protection Unit, Child Welfare Committee, Child Helpline (1098), or the concerned authorities so that prompt action can be taken.
The inspection team comprised Labour Officer, Kishtwar, Sh. Sunil Kumar; Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee Kishtwar, Sh. Sheetal Sharma; Special Juvenile Police Officer, Sh. Danish Qaiser; and members from other stakeholder departments.
