The 28th CWC Meeting of UPPL was held today at Banargaon Community Hall. The meeting was presided over by Hon’ble President and Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Boro in presence of Founder and former Cabinet minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma Rajya Sabha MP and Working President Rwngwra Narzary, Lok Sabha MP and Vice President Joyanta Basumatary along with all MCLAs, central leaders, and district leaders.

The meeting adopted several important resolutions and decisions aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational activities and ensuring better delivery of services to the people of BTR and Assam.

Hon’ble President of UPPL and MP, Rajya Sabha, Sjt. Pramod Boro called on the Hon’ble Governor of Assam, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, at Lok Bhawan, Guwahati today.

During the meeting, important issues concerning the Scheduled Tribes of Assam’s hill districts were discussed. Deliberations were also held on the proposed redesign of the Gelephu National Highway and Railway project, stressing the need for an elevated bridge through the animal corridor area of Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park to ensure ecological protection alongside sustainable development.

Lok Sabha MP Sjt. Joyanta Basumatary and former MLA Jolen Daimary were also present during the meeting.
