🐯🏞️ In May, a delegation from the Consulate General of France in Kolkata visited the Sundarbans to discover the richness of its biodiversity and engage with local authorities and stakeholders, particularly the Forest Department of West Bengal, whose guidance and support allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the mangrove ecosystem.

Throughout the visit, the delegation was accompanied by Mr Anil Mistry, founder of the Bali Nature and Wildlife Conservation Society (BNWCS) and a longstanding advocate for wildlife conservation in the Sundarbans, whose deep knowledge of the region greatly contributed to the mission
As a strong advocate for the protection of nature and the preservation of ecosystems,

France remains committed to supporting environmental initiatives and raising awareness of the importance of conserving unique natural habitats. This commitment resonates strongly with the spirit of World Environment Day, celebrated annually on 5 June. 🇫🇷🌿
