🚲 Dol Ka Badh Bachao Andolan – A cycle journey to Delhi to save Jaipur’s last forest

A 7-year-old and a 13-year-old girl are cycling 250 km from Jaipur to Delhi.

Why? Because the Dol Ka Badh forest is under threat.

🌳 100 acres of green forest
🦚 85+ bird species, peacocks, nilgai & other wildlife
🌿 60+ medicinal herbs, 2400+ trees

Now, this forest is being cleared to make way for malls and hotels.
This is Jaipur’s last green lung — saving it is critical.

To inform the nation about this struggle to protect an urban forest, and the cycle journey being undertaken to save it, a press conference is being organized on 21st August at 4 PM at the Press Club of India, Delhi.

Key Demands of the Movement:
1. Immediate halt on tree cutting in the Dol Ka Badh area.
2. ⁠Consideration of the alternative proposal to declare Dol Ka Badh as a Biodiversity Park.
3. ⁠Suspension of any construction in the Dol Ka Badh area until a consensus is reached, and formation of an independent monitoring committee.

A general information for my friends, associates, companions, well-wishers and for whom it may concern.

Since the last part of 2024 ( barring the period of Kolkata International Book Fair,2025) I became very irregular for everybody mentioned herein above. Failed to respond properly, couldn't keep the commitments and most unfortunate that could not attend a single program including social events. This is an apology and also sharing few information about my plight which were the reasons of my irregularities and to realise the same, may please be informed the following.
1) surely you all know that your friend is a senior citizen and which he attains almost one decade back.
2) last few months he is very disturbed with his ailing senior citizen spouse with whom he is staying alone and who being seriously ill got admitted in the ICU of the following nearby Nursing Homes and Hospital in the dates mentioned herein below:
i) 19.11.2024 to 23.11.2024 in S.C.B.Arogya Sadan, ii) 12.12.2024 to 17.12.2024 in CMRI, iii) 26.12.2024 to 30.12.2024 in S.C.B.Arogya Sadan, iv) 02.05.2025 to 10.05.2025 in CMRI, V) 21.06.2025 to 25.06.2025 in S.C.B.Arogya Sadan ( S.C.B.Arogya Sadan is popularly known as Bagchi Nursing Home with Emergency and ICU facilities and hardly 300 meters from our place).
3) in addition to the above, his chronic problem of Vericos Veins also became worse in this period which is yet to come in comfortable condition.

Despite of all these we are trying hard and jointly fighting to come back at earliest in the normal life to perform our duties.
