Batticaloa, Sri Lanka - a journey of Seva, compassion and hope.

Since 2016, the Sri Sathya Sai Karuna Nilayam Foundation, guided by the vision of Founder Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, has been serving communities in the Eastern Province through free healthcare, nutrition, education and social support.

Today, the Sri Sathya Sai Karunalayam Medical Centre and Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Super Specialty Hospital in Kirankulam are helping bring essential healthcare closer to the community.

With the launch of the Eastern Region’s first Cath Lab in 2023, patients can access advanced cardiac care closer to home, completely free of charge.

Yet the journey goes beyond healthcare. It is about creating a culture of care, dignity, compassion and service.

This is the spirit of One World One Family - where Seva is not simply an act of giving, but an expression of our shared responsibility towards one another.

A New Chapter in Values Education for OWOF New Zealand

Three Saturdays. Thirteen children. Nine values. And the beginning of something meaningful in New Zealand.

The One World One Family New Zealand team recently conducted the first Values Educate New Zealand (VENZ) workshops in Auckland, creating a safe and joyful space where children could explore values through stories, drama, music, dance, play and creative expression.

At the heart of VENZ is a simple belief: values do not need to be taught to children—they need to be nurtured, experienced and practised.

The sessions gave children an opportunity to understand their emotions, navigate difficult moments, build inner steadiness and make thoughtful choices - skills that become especially meaningful in the context of New Zealand’s ongoing challenges around child and youth wellbeing.

Congratulations to the One World One Family New Zealand team, the participating families, volunteers and everyone who helped bring VENZ to life in Auckland.

This is just the beginning.

One World. One Family. One value at a time.

Recalling an encounter in Nigeria, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai shared how two children once approached His car at night and told Him they wanted to become doctors. Today, the boy and girl are studying medicine at the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, India's first free private medical college, with the hope of returning to their home country and serving their communities.

At Divya Sanje in Karwar, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai spoke with renowned writer and speaker Chakravarthy Sulibele about selfless service, education, and the spirit of Gurukula. đź’›

Sharing the spirit behind the One World One Family Mission’s institutions, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai spoke about how students and patients often remain connected with the Mission even after completing their education or treatment. He spoke of creating a larger family where service gives people feel a sense of belonging. Speaking of service, He added that words have value only when they are translated into action.

That same spirit came through in the conversation around healthcare in Uttara Kannada. Responding to a request for a super-speciality hospital in the district, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai shared that two Sai Swasthya Wellness Centres are already serving the region and expressed His commitment to doing what is possible to strengthen healthcare services further.

At the heart of it all was the belief that service is remembered not only for what it gives, but for the care with which it is given.

The programme concluded with a dance performance by the students of the Nadu Gurukulam from the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence.
