A medical camp was organised during Budi Diwali at Nirmand to provide essential health services to the community. During the camp, visitors were screened for Tuberculosis (TB) as part of the TB-Mukt Himachal initiative. Awareness was also created about early symptoms, prevention, and the importance of timely testing and treatment. The camp helped identify presumptive cases and encouraged people to adopt healthy practices for a TB-free community.

बीड़ी पीना स्वास्थ्य के लिए बेहद हानिकारक है। इसमें मौजूद निकोटिन, टार और अन्य ज़हरीले रसायन सीधे फेफड़ों को नुकसान पहुँचाते हैं। बीड़ी के सेवन से सांस की बीमारी, टीबी, कैंसर, हृदय रोग, स्ट्रोक और COPD का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। लगातार बीड़ी पीने से फेफड़ों की क्षमता कम होती है, खांसी और सीने में जलन जैसी समस्याएँ बढ़ने लगती हैं। इसके अलावा, इसका धुआँ परिवार के अन्य सदस्यों के लिए भी खतरनाक है। इसलिए बीड़ी छोड़ना ही स्वस्थ जीवन की ओर पहला कदम है।

Himachal Pradesh has emerged as the best-performing state in screening its vulnerable population for Tuberculosis (TB). According to the latest Government of India report, the state has successfully screened 13,35,336 individuals out of 13,68,327 identified as vulnerable. This achievement reflects Himachal’s strong commitment towards early detection, prevention, and control of TB, moving closer to the goal of a TB-Mukt Himachal.
