People of Baramulla are well represented in Parliament,
Omar Abdullah's Statement is to mislead people... Ishtiyaq Qadri
Sgr. Nov 9: Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) strongly condemns and categorically rejects the misleading statement made by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, claiming that Baramulla lacks representation in Parliament, which purportedly justifies the nomination of Ramzan Chowdhury to the Rajya Sabha.
Party Political Affair Committee Chairman Ishtiyaq Qadri in a statement issued today has said. "Omar Abdullah's assertion is not only factually incorrect but also an affront to the democratic will of the people of Baramulla. The constituents of Baramulla have already chosen their representative in the Lok Sabha through free and fair elections. Er. Rasheed, the elected MP from Baramulla, secured a resounding victory, defeating Mr. Abdullah himself by a significant margin. Er. Rasheed remains the legitimate voice of Baramulla in Parliament, embodying the aspirations and mandate of its people.
Nominating individuals to the Rajya Sabha—an indirect process often influenced by political maneuvering—cannot be portrayed as a remedy for any perceived vacuum in representation."
Such claims are results of NC's losing credibility in J&K especially in Budgam constituency. Omar Abdullah conveniently ignore the reality that Baramulla's Lok Sabha seat is duly occupied and undermine the sanctity of direct electoral democracy. If Omar Abdullah really care for the people of Baramulla then he should have openly talked about prolonged detention and legal hurdles faced by elected leader like Er. Rashid and other detainees, which the NC government has failed to address adequately.
The people of Baramulla are not without a voice; their voice has roared in the Parliament of the country after paying lacs of rupees by Er Rasheed to attend the Parliament. Attempts to distort this truth for political expediency will not go unchallenged. AIP stands committed to upholding the democratic rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and ensuring their chosen representatives can serve without obstruction. Mr. Qadri further added.

عمر عبداللہ کا بیان گمراہ کن... اشتیاق قادری
نومبر، 2025: عوامی اتحاد پارٹی (اے آئی پی) وزیر اعلیٰ عمر عبداللہ کے گمراہ کن بیان کی سختی سے مذمت کرتی ہے اور اسے واضح طور پر مسترد کرتی ہے، جس میں دعویٰ کیا گیا تھا کہ بارہمولہ کی پارلیمنٹ میں نمائندگی نہیں ہے، جو کہ مبینہ طور پر رمضان چودھری کی راجیہ سبھا کے لیے نامزدگی کو جواز بناتا ہے۔
یہ بات پارٹی کی سیاسی امور کمیٹی کے چیئرمین اشتیاق قادری نے آج جاری کردہ ایک بیان میں کہی۔ "عمر عبداللہ کا یہ دعویٰ نہ صرف حقیقتاً غلط ہے بلکہ بارہمولہ کے عوام کی جمہوری خواہش کی بھی توہین ہے۔ بارہمولہ کے حلقے پہلے ہی آزادانہ اور منصفانہ انتخابات کے ذریعے لوک سبھا میں اپنا نمائندہ منتخب کر چکے ہیں۔ بارہمولہ سے منتخب ہونے والے رکن اسمبلی انجنیر رشید نےعمر عبداللہ کے خلاف شاندار جیت حاصل کی ہے، اس طرح کے دعووں سے صاف ظاہر ہوتا ہے کہ جموں و کشمیر میں خاص طور پر بڈگام حلقہ میں این سی کی ساخت کھونے کے نتائج ہیں۔ عمر عبداللہ اس حقیقت کو آسانی سے نظر انداز کر دیتے ہیں کہ بارہمولہ کی لوک سبھا سیٹ پر صحیح طور پر قبضہ ہے اور براہ راست انتخابی جمہوریت کے تقدس کو مجروح کر رہے ہیں۔ اگر عمر عبداللہ واقعی
بارہمولہ کے لوگوں کی پرواہ کرتے ہیں تو انہیں انجنیررشید جیسے منتخب لیڈراور دیگر نظربند کو درپیش طویل حراست اور قانونی رکاوٹوں کے بارے میں کھل کر بات کرنی چاہئے تھی، جن کی بات این سی حکومت مناسب طریقے سے کرنے میں ناکام رہی ہے۔
بارہمولہ کے لوگ آواز کے بغیر نہیں ہیں۔انجنئر رشید کی طرف سے پارلیمنٹ میں حاضری کے لیے لاکھوں روپے ادا کرنے کے بعد ان کی آواز ملک کی پارلیمنٹ میں گونج رہی ہے۔ سیاسی مصلحت کے لیے اس سچائی کو مسخ کرنے کی کوششیں ناکام م ہو گی۔ AIP جموں و کشمیر کے لوگوں کے جمہوری حقوق کو برقرار رکھنے اور اس بات کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے پرعزم ہے کہ ان کے منتخب نمائندے بغیر کسی رکاوٹ کے خدمت کر سکیں"۔
عوام کی امنگوں اور مینڈیٹ کو مجسم بنا کر۔
راجیہ سبھا کے لیے افراد کی نامزدگی - ایک بالواسطہ عمل، جو اکثر سیاسی چالوں سے متاثر ہوتا ہے - نمائندگی میں کسی بھی سمجھے جانے والے خلا کے .علاج کے طور پر پیش نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔انہوں نے مزید کہا۔
