Hanuman Mandir, Connaught Place, Delhi

The ancient Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place is one of Delhi’s most revered temples, dedicated to Bala Hanuman, the child form of Lord Hanuman.
The temple is believed to house a self-manifested (swayambhu) idol, making it an important centre of devotion. Its history is associated with the Mughal period, and it is particularly distinctive for the crescent moon fixed on its shikhara, rather than the commonly seen Om or Sun symbol. This unusual feature is traditionally regarded as evidence of the temple’s enduring presence through the Mughal era.
The temple continues to attract thousands of devotees, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

I was deeply honoured to be felicitated with the traditional Assamese Gamusa, a handwoven symbol of respect, warmth and honour, traditionally offered to elders and distinguished guests.

Nageshwar Jyotirlinga is situated near Dwarka in Gujarat, about 17 km from Dwarka city on the route to Bet Dwarka. It is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is easily accessible by road. The temple is renowned for its towering Shiva statue and serene surroundings.

According to the Shiva Purana, the demon Daruka imprisoned the devotee Supriya, who fervently prayed to Lord Shiva. Shiva appeared, defeated the demon, and manifested as the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga to protect His devotees. The shrine has since been revered as a symbol of divine protection and unwavering devotion.

Nageshwar Jyotirlinga is believed to protect devotees from fear, negativity, and poisonous influences, symbolized by serpents (Nāga). Worship here is said to bestow courage, inner peace, and spiritual strength. Pilgrims from across India visit the temple seeking Lord Shiva’s blessings for protection, prosperity, and liberation (moksha).

A Tree Today, A Legacy Forever. 🌱

Today, I had the privilege of joining the ROWA Plantation Drive, a wonderful initiative that beautifully blended environmental responsibility with heartfelt emotion through the theme “हर एक पेड़ माँ के नाम.” 🌿💚

Every sapling planted today is a promise—to our mothers, to Mother Nature, and to the generations that will inherit this planet after us. It was heartening to see so many enthusiastic ROWA members come together for such a meaningful cause.

My heartfelt appreciation to the entire organizing team for planning and executing the event so smoothly. Their dedication made the drive impactful, inspiring, and memorable.

May these tiny saplings grow into mighty trees, reminding us that every positive change begins with one small step.

Directorate of Training, CBDT under the leadership of Pr. DGIT (Training) Ms. Rolee Agarwal, organised “Samvedna” — a first-of-its-kind sensitisation programme on Disability Inclusion & Accessibility at NADT Regional Campus, Delhi under Project AKANKSHA.

The programme brought together PwD & non-PwD officers/officials to promote awareness, empathy, accessibility and inclusive workplace practices.

The event featured an inspiring address by Shri Navdeep Singh, Gold Medallist at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, along with expert sessions on accessibility, assistive technologies, reasonable accommodation and inclusive governance.

One of Mumbai’s oldest ( around 300 years) and most revered Shiva temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva as “Babulnath” (Lord of the Babul tree).

The temple is situated on a small hill near Girgaum Chowpatty and Malabar Hill, offering a peaceful spiritual atmosphere amidst the city.
