'Nenapu' Alumni Association Inaugurated at Government Engineering College, Kushalnagar: Alumni Involvement Key to Institutional Progress – V.N. Vasanthkumar
The enduring growth of any educational institution relies significantly on the steadfast commitment and contributions of its alumni, asserted esteemed senior citizen and community leader, V.N. Vasanthkumar, at the inauguration of the 'Nenapu' Alumni Association held on Saturday at Government Engineering College, Kushalnagar.
In his address, Vasanthkumar highlighted the invaluable role of former students in nurturing the future of their alma mater. "The experiences and memories forged during college life are everlasting. Alumni must commit a portion of their success to social service and to strengthening the institutions that shaped their lives," he emphasized.
Adding to the occasion, Retired Special Administrative officer H.V. Shivappa recalled his contributions during the early days of the college, expressing pride in witnessing its steady progress over the years.
Setting the context for the gathering, Senior professor Dr. Satish noted that the college, founded in the academic year 2007-08, has now proudly entered its 18th year. He praised the alumni's efforts in establishing the 'Nenapu' Association, calling it a proud and momentous achievement. Dr. Satish further shared those continuous efforts over the past three to four years to reconnect with alumni had finally culminated in the formation of the association. "More than 3,000 graduates from this institution are today shaping successful careers and contributing to society," he said.
Govindaraja K., the newly elected President of the 'Nenapu' Alumni Association, outlined the association's goals, stating, "We have come together as a disciplined team, committed to gradually enhancing the academic and technical infrastructure of our college."
The ceremony was presided over by Principal Dr. Parashivamurthy. Distinguished attendees included former Principal Dr. Venkatesh, senior faculty members Dr. Seenappa and Dr. Ranganath, alumni coordinators Dr. Maruthi and Dr. Srinivas, and Prof. Srinivas from Government Engineering College, Chamarajanagar.
During the event, key office-bearers of the 'Nenapu' Association were announced: Prithviraj K.J. as Secretary, Sinan M.S. as Treasurer, along with executive members Sukesh H.S., Fahad A.U., Vinay Prasad K.S., Darshan H.I., Sandesh H.S., Harbaz, and Priya Dinesh.
The event commenced with a prayer rendered by student Yogitha. The program was skillfully introduced and coordinated by the college staff, with lecturer Ms.Pavithra extending a warm welcome to all dignitaries and guests.
Concluding the memorable day, alumni fondly reminisced about their college experiences and pledged their continued support for the future advancement of their alma mater.
