Hon’ble Minister for Energy and Tourism, Government of Karnataka, Sri KJ George, visited NMPA today and reviewed various operational, infrastructural and tourism-related aspects of the Port.

The Hon’ble Minister was welcomed by Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, senior officers of the Port. During the visit, the Minister toured the Port’s operational areas and gained first-hand insights into its functioning, cargo handling operations and infrastructure.

The Hon’ble Minister also visited the Cruise Terminal, where he was briefed on the facilities and arrangements supporting cruise tourism through NMPA.

🇮🇳📚 एनएमपीए में हिंदी पखवाड़े का आयोजन 📚🇮🇳

एनएमपीए में हिंदी पखवाड़े के आयोजन के क्रम में आज पोर्ट के अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को राजभाषा प्रतिज्ञा दिलाई गई। इस अवसर पर श्रीमती एस. शांति, उपाध्यक्ष, एनएमपीए ने प्रतिज्ञा दिलाई।

इस अवसर पर सभी ने शासकीय कार्यों में राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रगतिशील प्रयोग को बढ़ावा देने तथा राजभाषा नीति के प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई।

यह आयोजन कार्यालयीन कार्यों में हिंदी के अधिकाधिक प्रयोग, भाषायी समन्वय तथा प्रभावी संप्रेषण को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में एनएमपीए की निरंतर प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।

🇮🇳📚 Hindi Pakhwada Observed at NMPA 📚🇮🇳

As part of the observance of Hindi Pakhwada at NMPA, the Rajbhasha Pledge was administered to Port employees today by Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA.

The pledge reaffirmed the collective commitment towards promoting the progressive use of Hindi as the Official Language in official work and further strengthening the spirit of linguistic harmony and effective communication.

As part of the National Sports Day 2026 observance, a series of exciting sporting activities were organized for the officers and employees of the Port.

From the strength and teamwork of Tug of War to the agility of Throwball, the speed and coordination of Relay Races, and the precision of Shot Put, employees participated with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit.

The activities provided an opportunity to step away from routine, come together as teams and celebrate the values that sport inspires — fitness, discipline, teamwork, perseverance and camaraderie.

New Mangalore Port Authority observed National Sports Day today, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, fitness, discipline and teamwork.

The day commenced with the administration of the National Sports Day Pledge by Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA and Capt. Manoj Joshi, Deputy Conservator & President, NMPA Sports Council, reaffirming the commitment towards promoting sports, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among the Port community.

Dr. V. Ram Prasath Manohar, IAS, Secretary to Government of Karnataka, Department of Tourism, visited NMPA today to discuss opportunities for promoting and developing coastal and maritime tourism in the region.

The dignitary was accompanied by Shri Darshan H. V., IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada, and Shri Rahul Ratnam Pandey, IAS, Commissioner, Mangaluru City Corporation.

Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA, welcomed the dignitaries to the Port and held a formal meeting with them. Senior officers of NMPA were also present during the interaction.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration and exploring avenues to unlock the potential of coastline, port infrastructure and maritime assets for tourism development.
