After the delimitation exercise, quite a large number of areas were annexed with Nagercoil Assembly segment. But after taking in all these factors, DMK Party has done the most considerable amount of work in developing the district and also has set its goals in the right direction. DMK’s achievements in the district are innumerous which includes the preserving of the flora and fauna of the district
from its lush forest areas. The er****on of the Thiruvalluvar statue which is of immense cultural value to our rich Tamil heritage. Improving the various aspects of the Tourist Department of Kanyakumari like introducing boat rides, preservation of monuments which has resulted in the increase of tourists to Kanyakumari which has in turn played a major role in increasing the state’s funds. And the most important factor is that of providing the highly populated fishing community with enough reforms so that they could lead a safe and sound life with enough living standards and the list doesn't stop here. With so much importance given to the state, DMK promises that it is yet to accomplish many wonders in the state and with the help of people’s votes in the future it tends to do so and further establish themselves as the sole achievers in the district. While the district is being stagnant now with no reforms of any sort, a change is needed for the people for a better future and a safe one too.
