The 42-Kamrang Gram Panchayat Unit provided a set of color-coded waste bins to Kamrang Secondary School and Dumra Primary School on 21 August 2026, in compliance with the 2026 Solid Waste Management guidelines. Each school received four clearly labeled bins—red for sanitary waste, blue for dry recyclables, green for wet/organic waste, and black for medicinal and healthcare-related waste—to promote proper source segregation, safer handling, and environmentally responsible disposal. This initiative supports campus-level waste minimization, helps prevent contamination of recyclable streams, and ensures hazardous medicinal waste is isolated and managed per statutory protocols. The GPU coordinated handover with school authorities, supplied basic usage instructions, and committed to periodic monitoring and capacity-building sessions so students and staff can sustain segregation practices, improve community awareness, and contribute to a cleaner, healthier local environment.
