Celebrating Our Common Home: Earth Day at St. Joseph’s High School
On April 22nd the halls of St. Joseph's High School CBSE , Panvel, resonated with a shared purpose: honouring and protecting our planet. Earth Day 2026 was not just a date on the calendar, but a vibrant call to action that brought our entire school community together, from our youngest learners to our graduating seniors.
The morning commenced with a thoughtful agenda that set an enthusiastic tone for the celebration. We centered ourselves with the Lord’s Prayer and a meaningful Bible Reading reminding us of our role as stewards of God’s creation. This was followed by a heartfelt Prayer and Praise and Worship, where voices rose in harmony to celebrate the beauty of the natural world.
The official ceremonies began with a Tree Plantation and gracious Welcome Speech. This warmth was echoed in the Welcome Song performed beautifully by our students. We were also honoured to have our esteemed guests Mrs. Reetika Rashmi, Parenting & Life Coach, Mrs. Preeti Goyal, German language faculty, Mr. Anil Bhagwan Salve, AVP (Bank of America) and Mr. Prashanth Tapse, Sr. V P – Research at the Mehta Group among us, marked by the Guest Felicitation, acknowledging their contribution in various walks of life.
The highlight of the event was the much-anticipated Prize Distribution ceremony. This segment honoured the hard work and efforts of students who succeeded as Academic achievers. As the awards concluded, we were privileged to hear the Principal’s Address who reminded us that Earth Day is not a one-day event, but a lifelong commitment to the environment.
The formal program drew to a close with a sincere Vote of Thanks expressing gratitude to all who made the day a success. Finally, we stood united for the Ryan Anthem & School Anthem a proud conclusion to a day dedicated to our school and our global home.As we move forward from April 22nd, let the spirit of this day remain in our classrooms and our homes. At St. Joseph High School, every day is Earth Day.
