The role of the Project Management Consultant/Consultancy (PMC) is truly at a pivotal crossroads. As I reflect on the insights shared about the rapid technological advances and the imperative for PMC to evolve, I am reminded how critical it is for PMC to transition from being purely process-driven to becoming innovation enablers focused on delivering measurable value.
The acceleration of software development cycles fueled by AI, alongside the proliferation of diverse delivery models, presents both challenges and exciting opportunities for us as Project Management Consultants. Integrating AI thoughtfully, embracing hybrid frameworks, and aligning closely with business outcomes will be essential for navigating this complexity.
What stands out to me is the call for PMC to become more agile, outcome-focused, and collaborative. This not only requires new skills but a mindset shift, transforming PMC into Value Management Offices that leverage technology and human insight to accelerate delivery and drive impact.
