ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଜାତୀୟ ରାଜପଥ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ୨.୪୦ ଲକ୍ଷରୁ ଅଧିକ ଚାରାରୋପଣ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ NHAI ସବୁଜ ଓ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ରାଜପଥ କରିଡର ଗଠନରେ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖନୀୟ ଭୂମିକା ନିର୍ବାହ କରୁଛି ।

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର–କଟକ ସୌନ୍ଦର୍ଯ୍ୟବର୍ଦ୍ଧନ ଓ ପରିବେଶ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ୨,୦୦୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ଚାରା ରୋପଣ କରାଯାଇଛି । ଏହି ଚାରାରୋପଣ ଅଭିଯାନ ପରିବେଶ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ସହ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ରୋଜଗାରର ସୁଯୋଗ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରି ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଜୀବିକାକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହିତ କରୁଛି ।

ସଡ଼କ ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମିର ବିକାଶ ସହ ପରିବେଶ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ଏବଂ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ସମୁଦାୟର ସଶକ୍ତିକରଣ ପ୍ରତି NHAI ପ୍ରତିବଦ୍ଧ ।

has planted over 2.40 lakh saplings along National Highways across Odisha, transforming highway corridors into greener, cleaner and more sustainable landscapes. In Bhubaneswar and Cuttack alone more than 2,000 saplings have been planted to enhance the urban landscape.

Beyond creating greener highways, these plantation drives are also generating employment opportunities for local communities, contributing to environmental conservation and sustainable livelihoods.

NHAI is building roads, creating livelihoods and nurturing a greener tomorrow.

has transformed a waste-affected site into a vibrant green corridor through site restoration and dense avenue plantation. The initiative has created a cleaner, greener environment while enhancing the beauty of the highway corridor.

PIU Sambalpur under NHAI Regional Office Odisha, in collaboration with Maple, planted 600 avenue saplings along the Sambalpur–Bargarh section of NH-53. The plantation strengthens the highway's green cover and enriches the corridor's scenic beauty.

Nature and Infrastructure Growing Together.

As part of NHAI's bamboo Corridor Initiative, PIU Sambalpur under Regional Office Odisha has planted 2,000 bamboo saplings along the NH-55 corridor from Dakuamunda to Harirajapur. Bamboo's rapid growth and high carbon absorption capacity make it an ideal choice for creating greener and more resilient highway landscapes.

ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସମ୍ବଲପୁରରେ ୭,୦୦୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ନିମ୍ବ, କରଞ୍ଜ, ଅର୍ଜୁନ, କଦମ୍ବ, ଜାମୁନ, ତେନ୍ତୁଳି ଓ କାଞ୍ଚନ ଭଳି ସ୍ୱଦେଶୀ ପ୍ରଜାତିର ଚାରା ରୋପଣ କରି ମହୁମାଛି କରିଡର (Bee Corridor) ବିକଶିତ କରାଯାଉଛି। ବର୍ଷସାରା ମହୁମାଛି ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପରାଗସଞ୍ଚାରକ କୀଟପତଙ୍ଗଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅମୃତରସ ଓ ପରାଗର ଉପଲବ୍ଧତା ସୁନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବା ସହ ଏହି ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ଜୈବ ବିବିଧତାର ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ଏବଂ ପରିବେଶର ସନ୍ତୁଳନ ବଜାୟ ରଖିବାରେ ସହାୟକ ହେବ। ଏହି ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ପରିବେଶ ଅନୁକୂଳ ଜାତୀୟ ରାଜପଥ ବିକାଶ ପ୍ରତି ର ଦୃଢ଼ ପ୍ରତିବଦ୍ଧତାର ପ୍ରତିଫଳନ ।

is developing a Bee Corridor in Sambalpur by planting more than 7,000 saplings of indigenous species such as Neem, Karanj, Arjun, Kadamba, Jamun, Tamarind and Kanchan. The initiative will ensure a year-round supply of nectar and pollen for honeybees and other pollinators, while contributing to biodiversity conservation and ecological balance. It reflects NHAI's strong commitment to environmentally sustainable National Highway development.

Building Highways in Harmony with Nature.

Infrastructure and conservation can go hand in hand. Along the Koraput and Nabarangpur stretches of the Raipur–Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor, over 10 km of noise barriers have been installed to reduce noise pollution.

These barriers help protect the region's rich wildlife and natural habitats. These barriers help preserve ecological
balance while supporting seamless connectivity.

The initiative reflects 's vision of developing world-class highway infrastructure that enhances connectivity while safeguarding nature and biodiversity.
