With heavy hearts, today we bid farewell to Sri Gopendra Ch Sarkar, Panchayat Secretary, on his superannuation from government service.

His contribution to the development of the Panisagar RD Block and his smiling demeanour will always be fondly remembered by all colleagues.

An awareness programme on the SWM Rules, 2026 and Intensified IEC Campaign on AIDS was carried out in the Jalabasa market area today.

The programme was attended by the PRI members of the Jalabasa Gram Panchayat and Panisagar Panchayat Samiti, District Level SLWM and IEC Specialists, members of the market committee.

Street play and sessions on solid waste management were a part of the proceedings in the programme.

Additioanlly, ways to prevent the transmission of AIDS were also discussed by the members of The Tripura AIDS Control Society as a part of their Intensified IEC Campaign.

The programme concluded with the distribution of the National Flag as a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
