RAMP Journey: A Path of Progress
The 2nd International Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) held in Puducherry on 17th and 18th March 2026 emerged as a highly successful international trade promotion initiative, generating strong business opportunities for MSMEs in Puducherry.
The event was jointly organised by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) Southern Region and Puducherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation (PIPDIC) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, supported by the World Bank. This marked the second RBSM organised in Puducherry under the RAMP initiative.
The programme successfully brought together:
• 21 overseas buyers
• 12 participating countries
• 194 MSMEs from Puducherry
The event created a vibrant platform for direct B2B interactions, export promotion, market intelligence sharing, and business networking. Over the two days, structured buyer–seller meetings resulted in the signing of 66 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with a total indicative business value of ₹8.88 crore, along with spot orders and advance payments received by participating MSMEs.
The RBSM also featured capacity-building sessions, an Export Support Help Desk, and a Valedictory Session, making it a comprehensive export promotion and market access initiative for the MSME sector of Puducherry.
