Teachers, Students, Research Scholars, Management, Owners, Industry, Academia, Government Statutory & Regulatory Bodies etc. Higher Education Forum (HEF) is promoted as an advocacy group of individuals concerned with issues and challenges in the landscape of higher education in India. The individuals include representatives from all stakeholders of higher education. The sole objective of the forum
is to help creation of an excellent world class higher education system in India. This encompasses creation of appropriate structure, strategies, processes and development of institutions. Within hardly few years of existence, the forum has emerged as the largest such on-line community on a global scale with more than 3,500 members. The higher education system plays a very crucial role in the development of a nation in view of its forward linkage with the corporate, as well as, society at large. It is a human capital intensive sector where people and knowledge mean everything. With gradual liberalization in terms of entry of foreign institutions and the proposed NCHER Bill as per Yashpal Committee recommendation, the challenges before the higher education system are immense. All concerned citizens of the country have to realize that it is only a robust, innovative and ebullient higher educational system that can help in transformation of India among the league of developed nations. It is in this context that a group like HEF can play a crucial role in nation building. We appeal to all stakeholders to be a part of this movement. Promote debates & discussions on various concerns in the lines of an advocacy group.
