Frequent Power Cuts Leave Five Panchayats in Block Gandhari Without Electricity

Ramban, August 20, 2026: Residents of Block Gandhari are facing serious inconvenience due to frequent and prolonged power cuts, particularly during peak hours. The electricity supply has reportedly become irregular, with power cuts occurring routinely from evening until midnight and sometimes from midnight to morning.

Five panchayats, including Tanger, Gandhari, Kabbi and Bhatni, are among the areas affected by the persistent power crisis. Social activist Sadam Bali said that the entire Block Gandhari has remained without electricity for the past two nights, causing considerable hardship to residents.

Bali said that despite residents paying their electricity bills regularly, they continue to face prolonged power outages. He added that the frequent cuts are particularly affecting students, who are finding it difficult to study during evening and night hours.
He further said that the prevailing hot weather has made the situation even more difficult, as residents are struggling to sleep without fans, especially during the night.

Social activist Sadam Bali appealed to Deputy Commissioner Ramban and MLA Ramban to intervene in the matter and ensure a regular and uninterrupted electricity supply to Block Gandhari, particularly during peak hours. He urged the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to resolve the issue and provide relief to the residents of the affected panchayats.
