The District Institute of Education and training (DIETs) have been established in Arunachal Pradesh for meeting the needs of professional growth of the Elementary Level Teachers of the state. The BSB Changlang was converted into DIET in 1989.After the DIET Changlang the different DIETs of the state were made operational during 2000.The main programmes and activities which are to be organized in DI

ET could be listed as follows:-
1. In-service Programmes of Elementary teacher, Headmaster Head of school complexes and Block level officers of Education Department.
3. Training Programmes for personnel of Adult and Non-Formal Education.
5. Orientation programmes for members of DBE, VECs, Community teachers, youth and other educational activities.
6. The District Institute of Education and training (DIET) Roing became functional on 28-07-2000 with the joining of Principal. Since its inception, DIET, Roing has been conducting different types of training for improving the quality of Education in three districts of its jurisdiction –namely Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley and Namsai Districts because our motto is: “Quality Education through Quality Teachers Education”
