𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭-𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

In public life, the true measure of leadership lies not in temporary relief or promises made for immediate political gains, but in the ability to create lasting solutions that address the fundamental challenges faced by the people.

The recent promises by the opposition to provide rental assistance to patients undergoing treatment in Itanagar may offer temporary relief to some families. However, the larger question remains: Should our people continue to depend on temporary arrangements, or should we work towards building a healthcare system that reduces their need to travel far from home for treatment?

For us, the answer is clear. Our priority is to develop sustainable healthcare infrastructure that serves not only the people of 5-Kalaktang (ST) Assembly Constituency but the entire state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Under the dynamic leadership of our Hon'ble MLA Shri Tseten Chombay The proposed Medical City at Dukhumpani, Rupa, represents this broader vision. Envisaged as a major healthcare development, the project has the potential to bring advanced medical facilities closer to our people, reduce the hardships faced by patients and their families, and strengthen the state's healthcare capacity for generations to come.

We must recognise that the financial burden on patients extends far beyond medical expenses. Travel, accommodation and prolonged stays away from home place enormous pressure on families, particularly those from rural and economically weaker backgrounds. While immediate assistance has its place, the long-term answer lies in strengthening healthcare infrastructure, improving access to treatment and building institutional capacity within our own state.

The debate, therefore, should not be about who can offer temporary relief, but who is committed to building lasting solutions. Immediate support and long-term development need not be mutually exclusive; however, neither should temporary assistance become a substitute for the structural changes our healthcare system requires.

As representatives of the people, our responsibility is to look beyond the immediate political narrative and work towards outcomes that will benefit present and future generations. The people of our constituency deserve informed choices, realistic expectations and a clear understanding of the long-term vision for their welfare.

The Medical City at Dukhumpani is an important step towards that vision. Its progress and eventual delivery will be crucial in translating this aspiration into reality.

Ultimately, our goal must be a future in which patients are not compelled to depend on temporary arrangements, but can access quality healthcare with dignity, security and confidence within their own state. That is the larger interest we must collectively strive to serve.

Permanent solutions. Sustainable development. Healthcare for every citizen.

Delighted to felicitate and honour BJP Dirang Mandal Mahila Morcha President Smt. Yangzom Thadung for her dedicated grassroots outreach and service during the BJP West Kameng District Extended District Executive Meeting today at Bomdila.

As part of the Angan Milan Seva initiative, Smt. Yangzom reached out to 81 Anganwadi Centres, interacting with Anganwadi Workers and ASHA Didis to understand their experiences, aspirations and the challenges they face in serving our communities.

Empowering women and giving their voices a platform is our collective responsibility. Karyakartas like Smt. Yangzom demonstrate how meaningful grassroots engagement can strengthen the connection between communities and those working for their welfare.
