Tragically, two minor children lost their lives after accidentally falling into the Baba irrigation canal in Goripora village, located in the Kangan area of central Kashmir's Ganderbal district. The deceased were identified as Aishiya, aged 4, daughter of Mohammad Amin Rather, and Mohammad Imran, aged 6, son of Mohammad Iqbal Lone, both residents of Goripora, Kangan. According to local sources, the children fell into the canal after accidentally slipping, resulting in their drowning.
