The recent tragic incidents involving children losing their lives while bathing in Nallah Sindh are deeply painful and serve as a serious reminder of the dangers associated with unsupervised bathing in rivers and water bodies.

Parents are requested to educate their children about water safety and ensure that they do not venture into rivers, streams or other potentially dangerous water bodies without proper supervision.

A moment of negligence can have lifelong consequences. Let us work together to protect our children and prevent further tragedies.

Annual Salana Jalsa: Six Students Complete Hifz-e-Qur’an at Darul Uloom Wijpara Hajin

Bandipora, August 23, 2026: The Annual Salana Jalsa of Darul Uloom Wijpara, Hajin, Sonawari, Bandipora was held with religious fervour and enthusiasm, marking a proud and spiritually significant occasion as six students successfully completed the memorisation of the Holy Qur’an and attained the honour of becoming Hafiz-e-Qur’an.

The achievement is a matter of immense pride for the students, their parents, teachers and the entire management of Darul Uloom. The dedication, hard work and perseverance of the young students, along with the guidance and support of their teachers, played a vital role in accomplishing this noble milestone.

On the occasion, Bilal Bhat, renowned Campaigner, Social Reformer cm Motivational Speaker, congratulated all six students for their remarkable achievement. He also extended his heartfelt congratulations to their parents, teachers and the management of Darul Uloom Wijpara for their sincere efforts in promoting Qur’anic education and nurturing the younger generation with religious and moral values.

Bilal Bhat said that memorising the Holy Qur’an is a great blessing and an honour, and congratulated the parents for supporting their children in pursuing this noble path. He appreciated the teachers and management for their dedication towards imparting quality religious education and creating an environment conducive to learning.

He further expressed hope that these young Hafiz-e-Qur’an would continue their education with dedication and become a source of guidance, goodness and inspiration for society.

The occasion concluded with prayers for the success, knowledge and bright future of the newly graduated Huffaz and for the continued progress of Darul Uloom Wijpara in serving the community through education and character-building.

سیرتِ رسول ﷺ مقابلہ — تحصیل تولہ مولہ گاندربل ۔

جمعیت اہلِ حدیث تحصیل تُلملہ، گاندربل کی جانب سے سیرتِ رسول ﷺ مقابلہ کامیابی کے ساتھ منعقد کیا گیا، جس میں 300 سے زائد طلبہ و طالبات نے بھرپور شرکت کی۔

Bilal Bhat Urges MD J&K Bank to Increase Staff Strength in Branches

Campaigner and Social Reformer Bilal Bhat has urged the Managing Director of J&K Bank to review and increase the human resource capacity across all branches of the Bank in Jammu & Kashmir to minimize public inconvenience and reduce the heavy workload on the existing staff.

“Every morning till evening, we witness huge gatherings in bank premises for multiple services—whether it is deposits, withdrawals, RTGS, loan-related matters, old-age pension, disability pension, social security schemes, or centrally sponsored schemes. Both bank officials and the public continue to suffer due to the increasing ratio of workload against limited staff,” Bilal Bhat observed.

He further narrated the grievance of an elderly woman who had visited a branch merely to check her old-age pension balance but due to overcrowded system and minimum human resources was forced to wait in long queues.

“Bank officials remain occupied with multiple assignments, and increasing the staff strength will have a direct positive impact on society and on customers of J&K Bank,” Bhat added, stressing that this step would ensure smooth and hassle-free operations.

He also highlighted the plight of thousands of unemployed youth in Kashmir who are waiting for recruitment opportunities in J&K Bank, calling the delay in hiring “an eye wash” for aspirants.

Bilal Bhat expressed hope that the J&K Bank leadership would take immediate cognizance of the issue in the larger public interest.

Awareness Programme Held at Babasalha Village of Block Wakura

Baroosa, 21 August 2026:
CFL-Safapora, Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) and the Sheep Husbandry Department jointly organized a grassroots-level Awareness Programme at Babasalha Village of Block Wakura today.

The programme aimed to sensitise participants about various government schemes and important issues, including financial literacy, social security schemes, prevention of financial frauds and scams, and the risks associated with online gambling applications.

Speaking on the occasion, Area Manager Mr. Aijaz Hurrah apprised participants about the benefits of various Social Security Schemes. Dr. Shabir from the Sheep Husbandry Department briefed the gathering about the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and other departmental schemes.

Centre Manager Mr. Riyaz Ahmad spoke about Mission YUVA, while CC-NRLM Ms. Qouser sensitised participants about proper loan repayment and loan management. Mr. Ishfaq Majeed Parah highlighted the importance and benefits of the Atal Pension Yojana (APY).

The event was also graced by the participation of noted news broadcaster and writer Mr. Raheem Rizwana Sahib, whose presence added value to the awareness initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Bhat highlighted the importance of financial literacy at the grassroots level and urged participants to remain vigilant against financial frauds, scams and misleading online offers. He emphasised that awareness and informed decision-making are essential for financial security and empowerment.

The programme witnessed active participation from villagers and concluded with positive feedback from the participants, who appreciated the efforts of the organising departments and officials in taking awareness initiatives to the grassroots level.
