Macadamization work on the road leading to Islamia College, Gojawara, has been completed in response to the long-standing demand of the people, under the leadership of MLA Zadibal, Mr. Tanvir Sadiq.

We are now moving towards the large-scale macadamization of roads across the Zadibal constituency. However, due to the limited number of functional macadamization plants, some delays are unavoidable. We seek the continued support, patience, and cooperation of the people as we work towards improving road connectivity throughout the constituency.

New Delhi: Member Parliament Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan today met Hon’ble Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Shri J. P. Nadda Ji, and urged his intervention for the early sanction of a 75-bedded Critical Care Block (CCB) and District Integrated Public Health Laboratory (DIPHL) at Government Medical College (GMC), Handwara, under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).

During the meeting, He apprised the Union Health Minister that the Health & Medical Education Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, has already submitted a proposal vide No. HD-Plan/173/2026 dated 02.07.2026 seeking approval for the establishment of these facilities.

He highlighted that GMC Handwara caters to a large population from the remote and underserved areas of Kupwara district, where the absence of a dedicated critical care facility often necessitates referrals of critically ill patients to distant healthcare institutions, causing delays and considerable hardship to patients and their families.

MP Ramzan requested the Union Health Minister to accord early approval and sanction to the proposal, along with the requisite equipment, stating that the proposed facilities would significantly strengthen critical care and diagnostic healthcare services in the region and ensure timely treatment closer to patients’ homes.

The Hon’ble Union Health Minister, assured MP Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan that the matter would be accorded due priority and that necessary action would be taken at the appropriate level. Chowdry Ramzan J&K National Conference
