Deeply saddened by the tragic accident at the Kishanganga River in Simari, Karnah, Kupwara, in which several precious lives have been lost.

We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and stand with them in this hour of profound grief. May Almighty Allah grant the departed souls eternal peace, forgive their shortcomings, and give patience and strength to their families.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

Let the Assembly Function, Let the People’s Issues Be Heard

JDF President Shameem Ahmad Thoker calls on NC, Congress and BJP MLAs to end repeated disruptions and use the Assembly for meaningful debate on issues affecting the people.

🔹 Statehood and restoration of Article 370 & 35A should be pursued together.
🔹 People’s core issues must take priority over political theatrics.
🔹 Focus on quality government education, infrastructure and public welfare.
🔹 The elected government and LG administration must resolve their differences without making the people suffer.
🔹 MLAs must first allow the House to function and then hold the government accountable.

The Assembly belongs to the people. Their problems deserve debate, not disruption.

The order of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Shopian, directing the reopening of Siraj-ul-Uloom, Hillow, Imam Sahib, Shopian, is a welcome development.

We have full faith in the judiciary and the rule of law. The decision to reopen the institution, along with the direction to constitute a three-member committee to examine the facts, reflects the importance of due process and judicial scrutiny.

We respect the judicial process and believe that justice must prevail through facts, evidence and law.

A delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir Justice and Development Front (JDF), led by Chief Patron and Panel Secretary Ghulam Qadir Lone Sahib, President JDF Shamim Ahmad Sahib, District President Mohammad Ayoub Pandith Sahib, and Tehsil President Rajpora Muhammad Maqbool Sahib, visited the residence of Dr. Mohammad Akbar Lone (who is the brother of former spokesperson of banned Jamaat e Islami JK) to offer condolences on his demise.

The delegation expressed heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength and patience for the family during this difficult time.

The proposed “Tantra in Silence” retreat in Gurez is a serious concern. Jammu & Kashmir is the land of saints, Pirs and centuries-old spiritual heritage. Such programmes violate our religious and cultural norms and can disturb the social harmony of the community.

We strongly urge the concerned authorities to immediately intervene and stop this programme.

Gurez is not a playground for experiments that undermine our cultural and religious values. Our heritage and social fabric must be protected.

JDF Delegation Visits Tujer Sharif to Offer Condolences

A high-level delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir Justice and Development Front (JDF), led by Chief Patron Ghulam Qadir Lone Sahib and President Shamim Sahib, visited Tujer Sharif, Sopore, to offer condolences to the bereaved family of Muhammad Akbar Shah Sahib, who passed away last night.

The delegation included District Patron Handwara Muhammad Mohd Akbar Qureshi Sahib and District President Sopore Nazir Ahmad Mir Sahib.

The JDF leadership expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family, praying that Almighty Allah grants the departed soul Maghfirah, raises his ranks in Jannah, and grants Sabr-e-Jameel to the family and loved ones.

JDF Migrant Wing Secretary Shri Ashok Kumar Bhat Participates in Jantar Mantar Protest on Three-Point Charter for Jammu & Kashmir

New Delhi, September 17, 2026:

The Jammu & Kashmir Justice and Development Front (JDF) expresses its solidarity with the peaceful democratic protest organised today at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, by the Jammu & Kashmir Awami-e-Tehreek, under the leadership of its President Waqar H. Bhatti.

The programme was scheduled for 17 September 2026 at 10:00 AM.
Despite the last-minute denial, the gathering provided an opportunity to place before the public the three issues highlighted in the proposed protest charter. JDF was represented at the programme by Shri Ashok Kumar Bhat, Secretary, Migrant Wing, reaffirming JDF’s participation in and solidarity with the democratic expression of concerns relating to Jammu & Kashmir.

The protest focused on the following three demands:

1. Immediate Restoration of Full Statehood to Jammu & Kashmir, with all constitutional guarantees.
2. Release and Justice for Political Prisoners, including review of prolonged detentions and adherence to democratic rights and due process of law.
3. Safeguard, Dignity and Honourable Return of the Kashmiri Pandit Community, with security, rehabilitation and an environment conducive to coexistence and brotherhood.

JDF believes that issues concerning the political future, democratic rights, dignity and rehabilitation of the people of Jammu & Kashmir must continue to be articulated through peaceful, constitutional and democratic means.

The participation of JDF representative Shri Ashok Kumar Bhat reflects the Front’s commitment to engaging with concerns affecting different sections of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and to supporting peaceful democratic platforms where such concerns are placed before the nation.

JDF strongly condemns the attack on Makkah Al-Mukarramah, one of the holiest cities in Islam. Any threat to the sanctity and security of the Haram Sharif is deeply alarming and completely unacceptable.

Makkah is sacred, and its security and sanctity must be respected and protected at all times. We call for an immediate end to any actions that endanger the holy city and innocent civilians.

A delegation of the Justice and Development Front (JDF), led by its President (Shamim Ahmad) and General Secretary (Reshi Sayar) , along with the Zonal President Central Kashmir (Faheem Farooq)and Youth President (Kalimullah LoneKalimullah), visited the protesting NHM employees at Batmaloo, Srinagar.

The delegation expressed solidarity with the protesting employees and listened to their concerns and demands, reaffirming JDF’s support for the legitimate rights and grievances of the NHM workforce.
