UQP Chief & Socio Political Activist Mohd Ejaz has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

In his message, Mohd Ejaz prayed for peace, prosperity, brotherhood and happiness across Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Eid-ul-Azha teaches the values of sacrifice, compassion and unity, and urged people to celebrate the festival with harmony and care for the needy.

He also hoped that the blessed occasion would strengthen mutual respect and bring joy to every household. Ejaz appealed to people to remember underprivileged families in their prayers and celebrations so that the true spirit of Eid reaches everyone.

Mohd Ejaz Pays Tribute to Shah-e-Hamadan, Highlights His Contributions to Kashmir’s Spiritual and Cultural Heritage.

UQP Chief, Social & Political activist Mohd Ejaz paid rich tributes to the great Sufi saint and Islamic scholar Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani, popularly known as Hazrat-e-Ameer Kabir or Shah-e-Hamadan, for his immense contribution towards the spiritual, cultural, and economic development of Kashmir.

In his statement, Mohd Ejaz said that Shah-e-Hamadan played a historic role in spreading the message of Islam, peace, brotherhood, humanity, and moral values across Kashmir. He said the revered saint guided people towards honesty, kindness, spirituality, and simple living through his teachings and wisdom.

“Sheikh-ul-Alam and generations of Kashmiris have been deeply inspired by the teachings of Shah-e-Hamadan, whose message was based on peace, unity, compassion, and service to humanity,” Ejaz said.

He further stated that Shah-e-Hamadan not only strengthened religious and spiritual values in Kashmir but also contributed significantly to the economic and cultural progress of the region by introducing several traditional arts and crafts, including shawl weaving, carpet making, wood carving, and calligraphy, which later became an identity of Kashmiri heritage across the world.

Mohd Ejaz said that the teachings and works of Shah-e-Hamadan continue to inspire people even today and remain highly relevant in promoting communal harmony, moral values, and social brotherhood in society.

He also highlighted the historical and religious importance of Khanqah-e-Moula in Srinagar, describing it as a symbol of Kashmir’s rich spiritual legacy and a place that continues to attract thousands of devotees and visitors every year.

He appealed to the younger generation to learn from the life and teachings of Shah-e-Hamadan and work towards building a peaceful, united, and morally strong society.

Mohd Ejaz UQP chief slams J&K government after Tamil Nadu CM announces 200 units of free electricity.

*Says elected representatives in J&K should take inspiration from Tamil Nadu leadership*

Taking a dig at the Jammu and Kashmir government, United Quomi Party President Mohd Ejaz on Sunday said the government must draw inspiration from Tamil Nadu’s newly elected Chief Minister, who announced a set of welfare measures, including 200 units of free electricity for every household — a promise that the ruling National Conference (NC) had also made during the 2024 Assembly election campaign.
“People of Tamil Nadu are lucky who gave their mandate to a leader who stands by his word. Newly sworn-in Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has announced his first set of decisions, including 200 units of free electricity for every household.”
Urging the J&K government to take inspiration from the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, the UQP president added: “He has proved that it is possible if there is political will. I wish those elected by the people of J&K in the 2024 elections would take inspiration from Tamil Nadu’s CM and fulfil at least some of the commitments they made during their election campaign.”
“You took people’s votes by making fake promises and tall claims, but remember that these blatant lies will remain in the collective memory of the people. As they say, ‘You cannot fool all the people all the time.’ People will ultimately hold you responsible and accountable for misleading manifestos and unfulfilled promises,”.
