Ahead of today's peaceful protest against the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, a heavy police contingent has been deployed outside the residence of Distt president pulwama Mir Shahoori since 4:00 a.m. he has been placed under house confinement and prevented from stepping out of his house, effectively denying him the opportunity to participate in a peaceful democratic protest.

PDP Youth Baramulla strongly condemns the house arrest of Youth President Yasir Naik and the Youth Secretary Arif Sultanpuri by the concerned police posts, who have been barred from moving out of their homes. This action denies our democratic right to participate and organize. We demand their immediate release and an end to the harassment of PDP youth workers. Let democracy breathe.
