🐅 International Tiger Day | 29 July
International Tiger Day is observed every year on 29 July to raise awareness about the conservation of wild tigers and the urgent need to protect their natural habitats. The day was established in 2010 following the St. Petersburg Tiger Summit, with the goal of reversing the decline in global tiger populations.
Tigers are more than majestic predators—they are keystone species that help maintain the balance of forest ecosystems. Protecting tigers also safeguards forests, rivers, biodiversity, and the livelihoods of millions of people.
“When we protect tigers, we protect the wild heart of our planet.”
