SDPI Telangana Leaders Meet BRS Leader Harish Rao Over Jamia Nizamia Waqf Land Issue

Amid growing concerns over the Jamia Nizamia Waqf land issue at Raidurg, SDPI Telangana leaders met with BRS leader T. Harish Rao and Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar, former IPS officer, to discuss the matter and the need to protect the property.

The dispute centres on Survey No. 83/1 at Raidurg Panmaktha, where competing claims involving Waqf, revenue, title and heritage status have been raised. The Telangana High Court has also been examining challenges concerning land in the survey number.

Meanwhile, two government auctions involving 10 acres in the same Raidurg area generated ₹2,833.22 crore, highlighting the enormous value of the disputed land.

SDPI Telangana maintains that where the ownership and legal status of valuable property remain contested, the interests of Waqf institutions and the public must be protected and the matter must be resolved through due legal process.

The party calls for complete transparency in Waqf, revenue, survey and registration records, along with proper scrutiny of all competing claims and accountability from the authorities responsible for protecting such properties.

Waqf properties are a public trust. Their protection must take priority over commercial interests.

SDPI Telangana National Working Committee Member Shiba Minai addressed the protest at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park, Hyderabad, demanding justice and the release of political prisoners detained under laws including UAPA, POTA and through agencies such as the ED.

The protest brought together civil liberties activists, political leaders and people from different sections of society, raising concerns over prolonged detention, misuse of laws and suppression of dissent.

Shiba Minai stressed the importance of protecting democratic rights, freedom of expression, civil liberties and justice, and called for accountability in cases involving prolonged incarceration.

నేపాల్ ఆకస్మిక వరదల విషాదంపై SDPI ప్రగాఢ సంతాపం

నేపాల్‌లో సంభవించిన భయానక ఆకస్మిక వరదల (Flash Floods) కారణంగా వందలాది మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోవడం, మరెంతో మంది గల్లంతవడం పట్ల సోషియల్ డెమోక్రటిక్ పార్టీ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (SDPI) జాతీయ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు మొహమ్మద్ షఫీ తీవ్ర విచారం మరియు ప్రగాఢ సంతాపం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. గల్లంతైన వారిలో పలువురు భారతీయ పౌరులు కూడా ఉండటం ఆందోళనకరమని ఆయన అన్నారు.
