I unequivocally condemn the heinous and deliberate killing of two innocent Tangkhul Naga travellers, reportedly carried out through indiscriminate firing by armed militants at NH-202, TM Kasom, while they were en route from Imphal to Ukhrul today.

This calculated and reprehensible act of violence against unarmed civilians, occurring just a day after the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s maiden peace mission visit to Ukhrul district headquarters is deeply disturbing and stands as a grave affront to peace and humanity. Such barbaric acts must be condemned in the strongest possible terms by all right-thinking citizens.

As a member and a representative of this community I feel this loss personally and support all necessary and lawful steps to address the situation firmly. Those responsible must be identified and held accountable through a coordinated response.Restoring public confidence must remain a priority.

I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families of Late Shri Yaruingam Vashum, son of Thuimi Vashum of Kharasom village, and Late Shri SW Chinaoshang, son of SW Ruichumhao of Tashar village.

May the departed souls rest in eternal peace and may the families be granted strength and solace in this time of profound grief.

Attended the Recommissioning of the Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) Imphal and the Launching of District Transport Offices at Jiribam,Kakching Noney and Pherzawl organised by the Transport Department Government of Manipur at the ISBT Complex Khuman Lampak on 22nd January 2026.
The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla as the Chief Guest in the august presence of Shri Anurag Bajpai Addl. Chief Secretary along with other distinguished dignitaries.

The event marks a significant milestone in strengthening transport infrastructure and improving public service delivery across the state reflecting the government's commitment to connectivity accessibility and regional development.
