The mob lynching incident in Patharkandi is deeply shocking and completely unacceptable.
No matter the allegation or circumstance, nobody has the right to take the law into their own hands. Justice can only be delivered through the courts and the legal system—not through mob violence.
I urge the Hon’ble Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to personally intervene and ensure a swift, fair, and impartial investigation. Those responsible must be identified and punished according to law.

Peace, justice, and the rule of law must prevail.

On this 19th May, I pay my heartfelt homage to the Language Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the dignity and recognition of the Bengali language in Assam.
I urge the Government of Assam ,Himanta Biswa Sarma ji to declare 19th May as an official state holiday and accord it the recognition and importance it truly deserves in the history of Assam.
Assam has always been a land of diversity, harmony, and coexistence. Recognising the significance of 19th May will strengthen unity among all communities and reaffirm equal respect for Bengali alongside Assamese and all other languages that enrich the cultural fabric of our state.
Honouring every language means honouring every citizen of Assam.
Respect and tribute to the Language Martyrs.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there
This picture takes me back 18 years… me holding my newborn son in my arms while my toddler daughter sits beside me. That moment was filled with love, hope, and a happiness beyond words.
Motherhood is never easy—it’s one of the toughest journeys, full of sleepless nights, endless care, and sacrifices. But at the same time, it is the most beautiful and rewarding blessing life can give. Watching our children grow makes every challenge worth it.
Today, I celebrate this journey and every mother who gives her heart and soul every single day.

Wishing all mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, I pay my deepest respect to the architect of our Constitution .
The Constitution of India guarantees justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. It safeguards the rights of every citizen, especially the marginalized and voiceless. Today, more than ever, we must understand its importance and stand united to preserve its sanctity.
Dr. Ambedkar reminded us that the strength of a nation lies not only in its laws, but in the commitment of its people to uphold them. Let us pledge to protect our Constitution, uphold democratic values, and ensure justice for all.

Remembering Babasaheb with respect and responsibility.

Cachar’s poor HSLC performance is a wake-up call. Education is the backbone of progress—students, parents, and teachers must introspect. Beyond schemes like Mid-Day Meals and Gunotsav, we need real quality teaching in government schools. If TET teachers don’t deliver results, accountability must follow
