Kalinjar is a fortress-city in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh.According to Chandela-era legends,the fort was built by a Chandela ruler during 5th century.It was ruled by several dynasties including the Guptas,Vardhana Dynasty, Chandelas,Mughal and the Marathas.There are many buildings and temples inside this fort.This fort has grand palaces and canopies,which are finely designed and carved.The fort is believed to be the abode of the Hindu God Shiva.

Bala Quila also known Alwar Fort is situated on a hill in the Aravalli Range, above the town of Alwar, Rajasthan. This fort is 5 km long and is about 1.5 km wide. Bala Quila was originally constructed by Nikumbh Rajputs in 928 CE. Later in 1492 Khanzada Alawal Khan won this fort from Nikumbh Rajputs to stop practice of human sacrifice. In the following centuries it went to the Mughals. It was captured by the Jat ruler Suraj Mal. After his death however, it was captured by the Rajput ruler Maharao Raja Pratap Singh of Alwar State. As Rajputs found it a suitable place for their successors due to its having ample of water and land for cultivation. Arwali mountain range divided Mevad & Marwad.Bala Quila offers panoramic and spectacular views of Alwar.

Manjarabad fort is a star fort built in 1792 in Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka by Tipu Sultan following French star-shaped fort designs made popular by Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban that deflect cannon fire and allow guns to cover all approaches without dead positions.Tipu Sultan got this fort built in one day by his soldiers ,when he was establishing his sovereignty over Mysore. Madan Mahal Fort was built by the Raja Madan Singh in 11th century AD in Jabalpur.The fort is also associated with the king's mother, Rani Durgavati. Bidar Fort is located in old city area,Bidar,Karnataka. The fort, the city and the district are all affixed with the name Bidar.This Fort was built by Ahmad Shah Wali Bahman who belongs to the Bahmani dynasty in 1427 AD.There are over 30 monuments inside Bidar fort.This fort was renovated in the 15th century by Sultan Ahmad Shah-I as he shifted his capital from Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) to Bidar.This fort has a number of monuments within the complex amongst them are the Rangin Mahal ("Painted Palace") decorated with coloured tiles,the Takht Mahal or ("Throne Room"),the Jami Masjid ("Great Mosque") and the Sola Khamba Masjid ("Sixteen-Pillar" mosque).

Qila Mubarak is a historical monument in the heart of the city of Bathinda in Punjab.It was built between 90-110 CE by Raja Dab of the Kushana dynasty,This fort is recognized as monument of national importance and is maintained by Archaeological Survey of India. It is said to be the oldest surviving fort in India.It is also the place where the Empress of Delhi,Razia Sultan was kept as a prisoner after she was dethroned.Guru Gobind Singh,the 10th Sikh Guru visited this fort in 1705. To commemorate his visit to this fort a Gurudwara was built within the fort premise in the later years.
