🗳️ Bihar 2025: After Phase-1 Withdrawals, Four Hot Seats Confirmed for Friendly Fights Within INDIA Bloc 🔥
As the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 moves past the withdrawal stage, four constituencies — Bachhwara, Vaishali, Rajapakar, and Biharsharif — have officially emerged as “friendly contest zones” among INDIA bloc allies (Congress, RJD, CPI).
These early face-offs within the alliance could prove decisive in shaping the state’s political narrative even before polling begins.
🔹 Bachhwara (Begusarai District)
2020 Recap: BJP’s Surendra Mehata edged past CPI’s Abdesh Kumar Rai by just 484 votes (54,738 vs 54,254).
Independent Shiv Prakash Garib Das polled 39,878 votes, splitting the opposition base.
2025 Update: Shiv Prakash Garib Das is now contesting on a Congress ticket, while CPI has retained its seat claim.
👉 Impact: Opposition vote split could once again favour BJP, unless bloc coordination improves.
🔹 Vaishali (Vaishali District)
2020 Result: JD(U) — 69,780 | Congress — 62,367 (Margin: 7,413).
2025 Scenario: Both RJD and Congress have fielded candidates from the INDIA bloc.
👉 Impact: A vote division within allies may hand JD(U) a comfortable edge in this crucial seat.
🔹 Rajapakar (Vaishali District)
2020 Recap: Congress’s Pratima Kumari narrowly beat JD(U) by 1,796 votes.
2025 Outlook: CPI and RJD are likely to join the fray here as well.
👉 Impact: A three-way contest among INDIA partners could easily flip the seat back to JD(U).
🔹 Biharsharif (Nalanda District)
2020 Recap: BJP’s Dr. Sunil Kumar won by 15,102 votes (81,888 vs 66,786).
2025 Insight: RJD, Congress, and CPI all showing interest in contesting.
👉 Impact: Unless a late consensus emerges, the multi-cornered INDIA contest will likely strengthen BJP’s position.
