The Scouts and Guides who have studied form various schools of Ramjas Foundation, Delhi and in whom the spirit of Scouting has
not ended with school constitute this group. The Ramjas Scout Group was founded by Shri Mahinder Pal Singh Malik back when some of its current members weren’t even born. He was born on 19th December, 1923 at Sukhtaal in Uttar Pradesh, and joined Ramjas Senior Secondary Sc
hool No. 2, Anand Parbat, New Delhi as Physical Training Instructor. He being an altruist instantly took liking to the most selfless and skillful activity-“Scouting”. Not only he pioneered the spread and continuation of this activity in all 17 schools of Ramjas Foundation but also shaped the lives of his direct pupils by not only making them a part of Scout Movement but by inculcating in them the true spirit of scouting which no words can describe. Scouting Spirit is not just a word, it contain within it the whole life of its founder Robert Stephenson Smith Lord Baden Powell and everything good, healthy and happy in the universe. The Ramjas Scout Group first and foremost does the work of making the Fundamentals and Skills of Scouting reach to the mass through its Founder Rovers who have made scouting their way of life. They make the fact that there is no activity better than scouting for an all round development and for becoming a good human being not only through words but through actions. The Camps, Adventure Activities and Social Sensitization Programs that group does and the training sessions it conducts for Cubs-Bulbuls, Scout-Guides and Rover-Rangers are all an example of spreading the message of scouting and making as many people as possible get benefit of it. Apart from outdoor adventures and indoor enlightening sessions the group does the most important and necessary task of all: that of making responsible and socially committed citizens. Sensitizing the youth who are often and by many tagged as the future of the nation towards society, issues concerning it and what we can do is one of the main work the group does. Ramjas Scout Group builds relations based on scouting in the generation who is rapidly forgetting the meaning and value of relationships. It not only set apart its members from the herd enabling them to adopt Scouting as a way of life but also helps them to carve a position for themselves in the society. The Ramjas Scout Group is a platform to launch the creative minds in the right direction to channelize their physical, mental, social, and spiritual energy to its optimum. The motto is not merely scouting but to bring the sensitization of being a human and his duties, to develop a sense of Duty to self and Duty to others. The Principles and guidelines set by our Pioneers are our Roads to reach our destiny. The Ramjas Scout Group is that organization where the members are not merely Campers, but learns the real meaning of life. Ramjas Scout Group has it all which is needed to become a person with life worth living, one really cannot understand unless witnessed. The family members know each other’s strengths and weaknesses and are complimentary to each other. Moreover it is an integral part of the lives of its members and no one on earth is able to differentiate them from Ramjas Scout Group family. The people who have lived it, the people who have seen us living it, very well know it, not merely as a Group. It is more than a family for us. It is not a Group! It is Ramjas Parivaar(Family)! To feel RSG, One has to live it!
