“Qualche mese fa, parlare di chitarre, dischi, live cominciava a diventare imbarazzante... Ci
siamo detti che l'unico gesto concreto che potesse fare una comunità di musicisti fosse
impegnare la propria musica per una giusta causa.”
Il 1° dicembre dell’anno scorso annunciavamo l’uscita di Panthers for Gaza: una compilation
autoprodotta e nata dal basso che ha unito 24 band della scena bolognese. Un atto di
responsabilità e solidarietà per devolvere tutti gli utili a Gaza Soup Kitchen, la rete di cucine
comunitarie fondata a Beit Lahia per sostenere la popolazione palestinese stremata dal blocco
israeliano e dai bombardamenti.
Un impegno che continua nel ricordo di Mahmoud Almadhoun, co-fondatore di GSK ucciso il
30 novembre 2024 a soli 33 anni da un attacco aereo mentre portava aiuti all’ospedale Kamal
Adwan. Il motto “Mostamreen” (continueremo) è la nostra bussola.
Oggi le copie fisiche del CD sono esaurite (ma il progetto resta attivo su Bandcamp!) e abbiamo
inviato la nostra donazione a GSK.

embarrassing... We told ourselves that the only concrete gesture a community of musicians
could make was to commit its own music to a just cause.”
On December 1st of last year, we announced the release of Panthers for Gaza: a
self‐produced, grassroots compilation that brought together 24 bands from the Bologna scene.
An act of responsibility and solidarity, meant to donate all proceeds to Gaza Soup Kitchen, the
network of community kitchens founded in Beit Lahia to support the Palestinian population
exhausted by the Israeli blockade and bombings.
Our commitment continues in memory of Mahmoud Almadhoun, co‐founder of GSK, killed on
November 30th, 2024 at just 33 years old by an airstrike while delivering aid to Kamal Adwan
Hospital. His motto — Mostamreen (“we will continue”) — has become our compass.
Today the physical CD copies are sold out (but the project is still active on Bandcamp!) and we
have sent our donation to GSK.
🍉 We try to be small drops — drops that, together, can become a current.
