celebrated an almost unheard of milestone today. Battalion Chief Antonio Moreno was honored with 40 years of service with the El Dorado Hills Fire Department! Chief Moreno has seen the El Dorado Hills community change so much in 40 years. He is proud to serve, and we are honored to have him.

We’re proud to share that Chief Michael Lilienthal has officially been appointed as Fire Chief of the El Dorado Hills Fire Department.

Chief Lilienthal has been a trusted part of the EDH Fire family since 2012, bringing over 28 years of experience in the fire service and a calm, steady presence to every role he’s taken on—including Fire Marshal, Deputy Chief, and most recently, Interim Fire Chief.

Through it all, his focus has remained the same: serve with integrity, lead with vision, and care for the people, both in the community and within the department. Now, as Fire Chief, he remains deeply committed to building strong connections, reducing wildfire risk, and prioritizing the health and safety of our entire team.
