Barovier&Toso

Barovier&Toso Shaping emotions for over 700 years In doing so, it enhances the life and the emotions of those who know how to capture the nuances of “beauty”.

The charming story of Barovier&Toso started in 1295 in Murano (Venice, Italy) where the company has been established and is still based: it was when the first Barovier was mentioned as glass master in official documents about the emerging art of glass blowing. This story has continued from generation to generation, overcoming wars, eras, styles and tastes unscathed, with an ability for transformat

ion and innovation that only passion and dedication can instil. Even today, Barovier&Toso interprets the tastes of the period by combining the glass tradition of its forefathers with trends and innovations in style and technology.

Behind many of Barovier&Toso’s most emblematic works lies the restless curiosity of Ercole Barovier. His devotion to Murano blownglass led him to test its limits, seeking unexpected textures, rare chromatic effects, and new ways for matter to reveal its character.

His passion still resonates in every creation, in the courage to experiment, and in the belief that craftsmanship is an act of imagination sustained by passion.

Barovier&Toso finds in the atmosphere of Murano an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Tides, distant horizons, and silvered air are translated into fluid silhouettes and translucent depths. Within the furnace, this intimate bond takes form through gestures that allow the spirit of the island to inhabit every creation.
