The new state budget just passed at the end of June does not provide for freeing the beaches this year, so the focus shifts to 2023. Please read this updated petition and sign if you agree, whether or not you signed the old End NJ Beaches Fees Now version. Thank you!

Beach fees were invented not to raise money, but to keep lower income people from sharing public facilities, and to that end, they work. See the heartbroken looks of the poor as they're turned away for lack of the price of a badge, and know that some wait until the gatekeepers and lifeguards go home...
