This November, Allentown residents will see familiar names on the ballot for Allentown Borough Council, and one of them is none other than Erica DeKranes. I have known Erica since her first race back in 2020, and since then, she has proven herself to be a devoted public servant and community leader in our Borough.

Being a leader is not just about advancing one agenda in a silo or giving in during difficult times to appeal to a select few. It is about listening to different perspectives, making thoughtful decisions, and always acting in the best interests of the people you represent. Erica has consistently demonstrated those qualities through her work on public safety, infrastructure improvements, and protecting the environmental and historic character of our Borough, including her efforts during the fight to preserve the Stein property.

I have had the opportunity to work alongside Erica on numerous issues, from local initiatives to advocating for Allentown's needs at the State House and to federal officials. Throughout that time, I have witnessed her tenacity, perseverance, and willingness to consider viewpoints different from her own and turn them into practical, thoughtful solutions. That is why, as Chair of the Allentown Borough Democratic Committee, I am proud to endorse Erica DeKranes for another term on the Allentown Borough Council.

I encourage everyone to follow Erica on social media, reacquaint yourselves with her advocacy, platform, and vision for our great town, and most importantly, vote for Erica DeKranes this November.

Please be on the lookout on our socials for future endorsement posts and events as we near closer to the General Election.

Safe, accessible, and affordable housing is at the root of many other issues, including education, economic growth, and more. The work of Senator Troy Singleton and Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee showcases that we already have many tools to address the housing shortage, we simply need the will to use them.

Doing so will help ensure that future generations of New Jerseyans can live and thrive in this great state!

Limited housing stock doesn't just inflate prices—it undermines health outcomes, educational attainment, economic mobility, and access to opportunity that safe, affordable homes provide.

God bless this nation! The nation is sick and is in desperate need of healing! Gun violence at any level, especially at an event with the President and his Cabinet, should not be the norm of our nation.

Let’s be clear: neither the AUMF nor any other federal statute gives the President the authority to invade a foreign sovereign nation, seize its leader, and trigger political, economic, and militaristic chaos.

While the Maduro regime is clearly a dictatorship and its actions are inhumane, abhorrent, and reprehensible, that reality does not override the constitutional limits on the President of the United States or justify an encroachment on Congress’s war powers.

According to early reports, the administration’s negligent failure to notify or seek the advice of the Gang of Eight is inconsistent with federal law.

The wrongs of the Maduro regime and the Trump administration, in tonight’s actions, do not make a right.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and hope for the best for the Venezuelan people and for the people and Constitution of the United States.

President Trump announced that U.S. forces had carried out “a large scale strike against Venezuela” and were flying President Nicolás Maduro and his wife out of the country. The Trump administration had been building pressure on Mr. Maduro for months.
