As NatWest Island Games competitors leave the Island we reflect on an exciting week of sport along with an exciting week of weather.

We've had heat, thunderstorms, fog, calm winds and showers, along with a great deal of sunshine, even breaking a record or two ourselves! It has been very enjoyable supporting The NatWest Island Games XVI - Jersey 2015, helping the various teams to make good decisions based on our forecasts and information and keeping organisers, competitors, officials and spectators up to date with the very latest information.

We hope you have found our weather forecasts and information useful and you will continue to follow us online, on facebook or twitter, or on our official twitter feed

We have even had the opportunity to see a bit of the sporting action ourselves and we say well done to you all, to all those who took part and to the many that helped make it all happen.

Good morning. 7.30am, the temperature is 18.6°C in Jersey and the sun is shining!

NatWest Island Games departure day forecast; staying sunny for the first half of this morning, then more cloud around at times with just the small risk of a shower. More sunny periods this afternoon with the temperature getting up to 24°C UV Index 7.

The NatWest Island Games XVI - Jersey 2015 has drawn to a close this evening.

What a week of sport and what a week of weather!

Here'a a little look back at the weather facts and figures during the week of the NatWest Island Games XVI -

4pm and the temperature is 23.6°C struggling more than expected with a little more cloud around.

Looking forward to this evening, it's going to remain warm and breezy for the Closing Ceremony of the NatWest Island Games XVI and although we can't completely rule it out, it is looking very unlikely any showers will pop up before the party comes to an end.

If we do see a shower it is looking more likely to be closer to, or after midnight.

1p.m. temperature still at 23°C, with just a small patch of thicker high cloud over the island at the moment. No sign of any showers popping up over France that might move up towards us for this evening, but it's a little bit early yet - we'll keep you updated if anything starts to develop.
