Officers conducted a speed check this evening on La Rue de La Mare Ballam in the 20 mph zone approaching the village. We were pleased to see that drivers were being responsible and abiding by the law.
Officers will be out and about again over the weekend.

Honorary officers are aware and in attendance and owners are trying to return them to their fields.

Honorary officers along with officers from States of Jersey Police and Driver and Vehicle Standards conducted a joint road check this morning in the village.
554 vehicles were checked, 38 vehicles examined with drivers spoken with regarding no insurance discs or defects to the vehicle.
26 vehicles had defects and 12 vehicles had no insurance discs which is a requirement in law.
Please check your vehicles to ensure they have their insurance discs displayed.

Whilst we may be experiencing extremely high temperatures at this time and dealing with the effects of that, the forecast is set to change later today with a risk of thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rain and high winds.

Please secure any lose garden furniture that may be out to prevent flying debris.
