In today’s championship match, Special Olympics Libya defeated us 3-1 to become the 2026 Unified Football World Cup Champions. Congratulations to SO Libya on a great game and a well-earned victory! 👏🏽🏆

Although we did not leave Paris with the trophy, we are incredibly proud of our team for once again making it all the way to the final, and we are coming home with these silver medals! 🥈🇯🇲

The road to Paris was not easy, but we made it. Our athletes represented Jamaica and the Caribbean with heart, courage, determination, and pride every step of the way.

This marks another final appearance for Team Jamaica at each staging of the Unified Football World Cup. We will always cherish the unforgettable moment when Jamaica lifted the championship trophy in 2022, on Jamaica’s Independence Day, no less! What a special moment that was. 🇯🇲💚💛🖤

Thank you to everyone who supported the team and helped make this journey to Paris possible. Your encouragement, contributions, and belief in our athletes meant so much.

Congratulations to all the teams that competed. A great time was had, new friendships were formed, and memories were created that will last a lifetime.

Team Jamaica is heading to the championship match of the Unified Football World Cup in Paris, and the excitement is through the roof!

After an incredible journey filled with passion, teamwork, and determination, we are now just one game away from the title.

We secured our spot in the final with a 3-1 victory over SO Israel in the semi-finals earlier.

This Saturday, we face SO Libya for the title of Unified World Cup Champions. The team is focused, energized, and ready to give it everything on the field.

We’re going to rest, regroup, and come back stronger than ever… because this one is for YOU, JAMAICA and the CARIBBEAN!

Team Jamaica has advanced to the next round of the Special Olympics Unified World Cup in Paris after winning 6-0 to Special Olympics France today.

The team came ready and played with heart. We will face SO Israel in the Semi - Final tomorrow at Stade Charléty and one thing is certain… SO Jamaica is ready! 💪🏽🇯🇲

A win for Team SO Jamaica today! 🇯🇲⚽

We defeated Senegal 1-0 in our second game at the Unified Football World Cup in Paris. The team showed heart, focus, and determination from start to finish.

Tomorrow, we take on France and we’re ready for another great day of football!

Matchday 1 is in the books! 🇯🇲⚽

Team Jamaica opened its Special Olympics Unified Football World Cup game against Brazil, battling to an exciting 2-2 draw in a hard-fought match. 💪

Our goalkeeper sustained an injury during the game and is doing well. Wishing him a speedy recovery. He will likely miss tomorrow’s game as he recovers.

Tomorrow, we take on Senegal at 8:00 a.m. local time… that’s the wee hours of the morning back home in Jamaica! 🇯🇲⏰

After two long days of travel, Team Jamaica has officially arrived in Paris and we’re excited, energized, and ready for an unforgettable week!

Straight from the airport, we made our way to the Opening Ceremony, where the excitement truly began. We can’t wait to experience an incredible week of football, fun, friendship, and the true spirit of inclusion as we meet athletes and supporters from around the world.

Team Jamaica is on the move!

Today, our Special Olympics Jamaica delegation departed for Paris, France, where they will proudly represent Jamaica at the Special Olympics Unified Cup 2026, taking place July 6–11.

As they embark on this exciting journey, we wish our athletes, Unified partners, coaches, and delegation safe travels and an unforgettable experience. Your hard work, determination, and team spirit have earned you this moment, and the entire nation is cheering you on every step of the way.

A heartfelt thank you to Hon. Olivia “Babsy” Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport; Dr. Kevin Blake, Commissioner of Police and his team; the Jamaica Football Federation; Santos Football Club; and the Digicel Foundation for your invaluable support in helping make this journey possible.
