I thank His excellency the Governor Kenneth Lusaka for gracing the occasion of opening Connerstone-Nairumbi bridge that connects Connerstone in Kimikung'i with Nairumbi area of Chwele \ Kabucha ward ni Kabuchai constituency.

This bridge will really help especially school going children who go to Kimikung'i primary and general people from accessing Kimikung'i market and cross over river Khalaba to Kabuchai constituency on daily basis.

I took the opportunity to thank the Governor for this initiative. I used the opportunity to request the Governor for an Electricity transfoma so it can serve the adjacent people and even serve the new Kimikung'i dispensary that has no power.
I requested the Governor to also operationalize the Dispensary so that it can help our people who are going long distances seeking medical services.

The Governor in his speech accepted to bring the electricity transfoma and make sure the hospital is working. He asked people to safeguard the Government resorces so that it benefits us well.

Also present was Chwle-Kabuchai MCA Erick Wekesa, CeC for Roads Hon Carol Makali among others .

Education is greatest equalizer...

Today i joined St. Monica Mungeti High school for an AGM, prize giving day and a Fund Drive to help land expansion and construction of a twin lab.

The school is the most populated day school in my ward and has been flourishing in academics ever since it was started just about 10 years ago. A squeezed learning environment and lack of any Science labaratory has made learning abit difficult for our girls and boys.

I thank the Chief Guest in his absentia Rt. Hon. Dr. Moses Masika Wetang'ula, speaker of National assembly for his generous contribution.

I also thank the governor His excellency Kennneth Makelo Lusaka, Bungoma Senator Hon. Wafula Wakoli, Bungoma Women Rep Hon Catherine Wambilyanga, Kanduyi Mp. Hon. John Makali, County Assembly speaker Hon. Emmanuel Situma, Deputy speaker Hon. Stephen Wamalwa, Industrialization PS Dr. Juma Mukhwana among others who contributed to make the function successful.

It was a great opportunity also for the school to award the over 30 students who perfomed extremely well and qualified to join university direct. I urged the administration to make sure it builds on the last year's results to make sure this year we get more better results than last year.

Munala Water Pump in Kimikung'i was put up long ago. Although it has been serving the community but regular breakdown has always left the community in trouble when in need for water which is very essential to our people.

Today is a new dawn for our people when i launched the upgrade of this source of water. In less than three months we shall have solar powered water pump connected to 10,000 liters water tank. It will serve a radius of more than 1.3km. I instructed the contractor to make sure that it connects up to Kakichuma and Nabukhisa so that those areas can get water which has been a serious problem to them.

The community also will have an opportunity to tap water in their homes , this will easen burden at the central water source and also bring nearer to our people.

I urged the community to membrace this project and work well with the contractor and the committe that has been formed today. They Should safeguard the project so that it helps us all.

We also have a waterpoint at Kimikungi market that was tapped from Koica water project from mt. Elgon so it serves the community who are closer to any water point .

We shall work on improving more pumps using the same program so that we make water easily available to our people.

Our administrative units play a key role in linking between our people and government services.

I held consultative engagement with Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, Ward Administrator , Village admis and Village Elders at my home.

The meeting brought together over 200 administrators from across my ward. In my address, I thanked them for the good work they are doing for our people especially in bringing government services near to them. I asked them to always be role models in delivering their services because the society looks upon them always. They should have good relationship with the people they govern so that it makes their work easier. They should help the community in all aspects especially in encouraging people to register for SHA so that wherever a family member is ill it can be easy to get medical services.

I informed village Elders that they should be motivated because for the first since independence they will at last get a stipend from the national government, however little but it should make them up there game in service delivery.

Also I urged them to be vigilant especially on security matters and be swift in reporting any Unnormaly in the society so that it can solved instantly. They should also safeguard the project the government (county and national) initiates so that even if it means forming committees they should so that they are managed well.

Lastly they should make sure the people they govern have required documents like birth certificates and National identity cards so that they don't miss out on Gorvenment services. They should inform people to take advantage of ongoing mass registration because the services have been brought nearer to them..Also they should be open to come to me for any support or advice so that we can together give quality services to the people. I assured them i will forever be ready to listen to them.

A healthy community is a happy community...

Today I had a fruitful engagement with over 80 Community Health Personels from across my entire ward.

My ward has 8 units with each units having over 10 CHPs.

I reminded them that they should not only base on treating our people but also advice them on staying a healthy life. A health life means free from health issues and that can only be achieved by doing exercises and eating healthy. Our people should normalize having a fruit on our diets and having enough vegetables to accompany our meals.. This can be well achieved if plant these fruits and vegetables in out homes to minimize expenses to buying them.

I also applauded the health workers for their unwavering commitment to promoting preventive healthcare, supporting vulnerable families, and serving as a crucial link between the community and healthcare facilities. I noted that their dedication continues to play a significant role in improving health outcomes across the ward.

We ended the meeting ended with a renewed commitment to collaboration and support for community health initiatives. I reaffirmed my resolve to work closely with Community Health Workers to enhance service delivery and improve the well-being of all residents. I also informed them that their arrears are ready and soon they will get bank notification.

Jesus promised his disciples the holy spirit and today was the day it was manifested to the disciples.

I joined the Catholic Christians of St. Mary's Kibabii sub parish in a mass and fund drive to aid in completion of construction of a new church.

The parish priest Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Chumbe preached on importance of the Holy Spirit in our lives. we should utilize it for our good wellbeing to the society. He also preached on empowering the people to be self reliable.

I thanked the Christians for gearing on towards the completion of the modern church. I reminded them that this will surely be their legacy in future when they see the church completed. I thanked the Parish priest for bringing life back at Kibabii mission especially at the mission hospital and construction of the new church. I assured him of my unbending support towards this historical church which i was personally baptized in the year 1988.

I was joined by Chief officer Eng. Robert Simiyu.
