Margaret Juma, the daughter of my friend Peter Wakhuleka, passed away in mid-February this year. Today, her family held a memorial service in her honor.

I joined the family and the church in celebrating her life and legacy, and in lighting a candle in her remembrance.

May her soul continue to rest in peace.

I addressed over 700 bursars, accounts clerks, and storekeepers from Kakamega County during their four-day conference, which kicked off today at Bungoma Tourist Hotel.

In my remarks, I commended them for the excellent work they do in the day-to-day running of schools and encouraged them to embrace a strong spirit of teamwork with their supervisors, particularly the principals.

I wished them a pleasant and productive stay, and encouraged them to explore the environment, noting that Bungoma and Kakamega share a rich cultural and social connection.

Today I joined the people of Lurende village, Luuya/Bwake ward Kabuchai constituency to condole with the family and friends of Maayi Colletah Nasike. She was an indistrious woman.
