As I continue my journey towards the Garissa County Senatorial seat, I have been engaging in wide consultative meetings with various stakeholders including youth, women, elders, and professionals across our great county.

Our discussions focused on the urgent need for accountability, proper oversight, and restoring the lost glory of Garissa County. The engagements were productive and meaningful, and together we reached practical and amicable solutions aimed at ensuring transparency and responsible use of public resources.

The people of Garissa County have overwhelmingly expressed their support for this noble initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to a leadership that will safeguard and account for the billions of shillings allocated to the county government for the benefit of all residents.

Until voters in Garissa County reject the culture of tenderpreneurs and the politicians who protect them, development will remain an illusion, roads will keep collapsing, public money will keep disappearing, and the same failed actors will recycle themselves into higher offices. It’s still a work in progress, but I am making a deliberate choice: I will not share, promote, or forward anything that divides our people. Even when silence or restraint may seem like a disadvantage to my own political ambitions, I refuse to fuel the old cycle of suspicion and fragmentation.

Why? Because the politics of tearing each other down has brought us nothing but stagnation, bitterness, and missed opportunities. Our community is tired. Tired of the noise, tired of the drama, tired of leaders who climb by dividing and rule by inflaming emotions.

The vision I intend to champion in the upcoming elections is different. It is grounded in unity, maturity, and responsibility. Leadership is not about exploiting fault lines for personal gain, it is about healing them. It is about showing, through action, that we can rise above the easy route of clan-based rhetoric and petty conflicts and instead build something grounded in dignity and progress.

If real change is what we want, then we must start acting like it. Each of us has a role to play. We can not preach unity in public and spread division in private. We can not claim we want better politics while participating in the same destructive patterns.

I choose the harder path because it is the right one. And I believe, with conviction, that meaningful change begins with discipline, integrity, and the courage to break old habits. Let us elevate the conversation, uplift our people, and show that a new kind of politics is possible, one rooted in hope, not hostility.

That is the future I’m fighting for. And I hope you’ll join me.
