Are you an active member of YAK working group? are you between 21 and 34 years of age? Are you a Diploma or Degree graduate? Are you passionate about youth Participation in development processes? if so, this is your chance to apply for the ‘Youth Participate’ exchange project, to have a chance to work with Kenyan, Malawian and Zimbabwean teams for increased youth participation in Governance & Development processes. This is a collaboration between Youth empowerment and Transformation Trust (YETT) in ZIMBABWE, Center for Youth Empowerment and Civic Education (CYECE) in MALAWI and Youth Alive! Kenya (YAK) in KENYA .

The project fosters South-to-South learning and sharing of ideas from one partner country to another and the transfer of learning to the members of the Partner Organizations. During the exchange, the participants will have the opportunity to interact with three partner organizations, share tools, ideas, and knowledge that will be brought back to their member organizations and local networks.

The participants, (2) from each country partner Organization in the exchange will also have direct contact with Member Organizations and networks of the other Country/Partner Organizations for more sharing. During the exchange, the participants will learn more about the mechanisms for youth participation (in the country where posted.) They will also gain expertise in inter-cultural communication and organizational development.

We are therefore recruiting two participants from KENYA who will work together as a team with others from ZIMBABWE and MALAWI for three months. The participants will then return to their sending organizations for two months to conclude their work phase, which will include sharing of lessons learnt from the host Country in terms of youth participation in development processes.

If you are an active member in one of the member organizations of YAK, DO NOT HESITATE TO APPLY!
