Four years of deliberate leadership. Visible transformation. Tangible results.

Under Governor H.E. Dr Kimani Wamatangi, Kiambu County has grown Own Source Revenue to KSh 6.5 billion while delivering major investments in education, healthcare, water, markets, transport and infrastructure.

From 512 new ECDE centres and 32 new hospitals to 12,000 solar streetlights, modern markets, bus parks and over 100,000 water connections, the focus remains on improving everyday life for the people.

With continued investments in roads, bridges, drainage, sports and agriculture, Kiambu is steadily setting the pace.

Recognising compliance and responsible partnership.

The County Government of Kiambu, through Karuri Municipality, today awarded appreciation trophies and certificates to Quickmart Muchatha and TotalEnergies Gacharage in recognition of their commitment to timely payments and consistent adherence to county regulations and compliance requirements.

Kiambaa Municipality today held public participation on the FY 2027/2028 Annual Development Plan (ADP), giving residents a direct voice in shaping the priorities that will inform the next budget.

Led by Municipal Manager Mr. Joseph Muranya, the forum brought together residents from Cianda, Karuri, Ndenderu, Muchatha and Kihara wards, who shared their priorities, proposals and memoranda for consideration.

Under H.E. Dr. Kimani Wamatangi, the Kiambu County Government continues to listen, plan with the people and deliver where it matters most.

Ruaka Level 3 Hospital is taking shape.

Equipping is progressing well, with the NBU unit, male and female wards, delivery room, prenatal ward, kangaroo room, laboratory, radiology unit, nursing stations, triage, doctors’ rooms and theatre among the facilities getting ready to serve residents.

Under the leadership of Municipal Manager Mr. Muraya, Karuri Municipality continues to support the delivery of quality services closer to the people.

This is devolution in action bringing healthcare closer, improving access and transforming lives.

The Utilities Team has completed key repair works across Mucatha and Cianda Wards, restoring essential public lighting infrastructure.

⚡ Mucatha Ward
• Automated Muongoiya streetlights
• Automated Njoro floodmast

⚡ Cianda Ward
• Automated Dubai floodmast
• Repaired and installed 250 metres of ABC cable for Nduota streetlights
